Jeff Ber is a highly experienced financial professional in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
A Chartered Investment Manager and a Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute, he has a long history in providing top-notch guidance in all matters of financial services.
Jeff began his journey in finance as an undergraduate, studying Business Management at John Molson School of Business at Concordia University. He completed summer work as an analyst at Peyto Energy Trust and eventually graduated from Concordia with a Bachelor of Commerce in 2006. He then joined Edward Jones as a Financial Advisor, quickly distinguishing himself in his field and winning the 2007 Summer Asset Gathering Competition.
In 2008 Jeff Ber became a Senior Financial Advisor at Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (Imperial Service), where he provided full financial planning to clients including investment, credit, cash management, and protection planning. This experience served him well in his next position at ScotiaMcLeod: as a Wealth Advisor, Jeff was responsible for developing holistic financial plans for existing and prospective clients, factoring in a variety of influences such as long-term goals and investment horizon.
At ScotiaMcLeod, Jeff grew the book of business (assets) by over 1500%. He also branched out into leadership by organizing and leading theme-based investment seminars for other professionals. During his time as a Wealth Advisor he also earned his Fellow of Canadian Securities Institute (FCSI®) Designation and his Chartered Investment Manager (CIM®) Designation.
Next, Jeff Ber became an Investment Advisor at TD Wealth, where he managed an investment portfolio for high net worth clients. He advised his clients on the full spectrum of financial services including retirement, tax and estate planning, and quantitative research and analysis of portfolio performance.
Jeff was recognized by Wealth Professional Canada, Canada’s leading independent publication for financial planning and advice professionals, in their “Young Guns” list of the financial industry’s “best and brightest” individuals, aged forty years old or younger, in 2015 and 2016. He also earned a spot in the magazine’s Top 50 Financial Advisors in Canada in January of 2015.
Jeff is currently pursuing his own professional ventures as an up-and-coming entrepreneur. He balances this with his role as Vice President of Operations at Oneball, an organization dedicated to providing meaningful support for people who have testicular cancer and destroying the stigma around discussing men’s health.
